The American Prize is a national competition in the performing arts and represents the most comprehensive series of contests in the classical arts in the United States. The scope of the Prize is to evaluate, recognize, and reward outstanding performers, ensembles, composers, directors, and administrators across the country, based on submitted recordings. Since its founding, The American Prize has attracted thousands of qualified contestants from all fifty states. It has awarded nearly $150,000 in prizes across all categories since 2010 and is presented annually in many areas of the performing arts.
